PLIDA exam preparation courses

WHAT IS PLIDA AND WHY TAKING THE TEST?

PLIDA exam preparation coursesWhy you my need to enroll in one of our PLIDA exam preparation courses? The PLIDA Certificate (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) attests the proficiency in Italian as a foreign language.

PLIDA is intended for all those people whose native language is not Italian, and the examination for the certification can be taken by all Italian citizens or foreigners who need a certificate of competence in Italian language for study, to work or other. Our PLIDA exam preparation courses help you to obtain the necessary skills for each exam level.

With the PLIDA Certificate you can:

  • Indicate the level knowledge of Italian on your CV and job applications
  • Enrol in the Italian university without taking the mandatory examination of Italian language (level B2 or C1)
  • Be exempted from the test of Italian (DPR 179/11) and from the final examination on civic culture and civic life examination in Italy (circular 23.04.15) when applying for a residence permit (Integration Agreement)

PLIDA certification is acknowledged by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Education, University and Research, Labour and Social Policy. The PLIDA certificate is also valid in order to obtain a residence permit for EC long-term residents by non-EU citizens (minimum level A2).

EXAM’S STRUCTURE

PLIDA exam preparation courses. The PLIDA exam is divided into the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL)

For each level the exam consists of four tests, one for every language skill:

  • LIstening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

The duration of the test varies depending on the level that you must take, while the score is always out of thirty for each test. With a minimum score of 18/30 in each of the four tests, the certificate is immediately issued; it is nevertheless possible, in case of mistakes, to keep the scores where you obtained sufficient points for a year and try, in this period of time, to overcome the exams for other skills in further sessions.

PLIDA JUNIORES

PLIDA exam preparation coursesThe PLIDA Juniores is a certification of Italian specifically designed for teenage students (13-18 years).

The language skills necessary to pass the tests are the same as for standard PLIDA, but the examination of the Junior PLIDA differs because in the tests reference is made to texts and contexts of use typical and familiar to children and tied to the life experiences to teenage of this age.

For the PLIDA Juniores the proficiency in Italian as a foreign language for teenage is evaluated according to the first four levels proposed by the CEFRL: A1, A2, B1 and B2

USEFUL TIPS TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED RESULTS

In the process of learning a foreign language to properly prepare for the exam, it is very important not only the number of tuition hours, but also and mostly the type of course that you decide to attend.

If you have limited time, or have to combine the PLIDA exam peparation courses with you work, we would like to suggest you to choose an individual course: in this way, the lessons will be organized according to your needs and availabilities, also the teacher will deal exclusively with your linguistic necessities, by correcting and improving your weaknesses. Our individual courses are the solution chosen by the majority of our students, as they provide the best results in a very short time

Always keep in mind, in choosing the most suitable course for you, that a week of individual course corresponds to approximately one month in a group course

At the Institute Galilei we strongly suggest to begin the PLIDA exam preparation courses about two months before the test, so to organize the course in the time the students have at their disposal in the best and most suitable way.
