The aim of our photography courses in Florence is to help you create a beautiful “friendship” between you and your camera.
How many times have you said “I wish this moment would last forever!”? Well, a way to extend and revive our emotions exists – a picture “caught at the right moment”. The goal of this course is in the lens of your machine!
To take a picture and to “see” a picture before taking the photo are two different things. In our photography course we will provide you useful information and practical tips to allow you get the most from your potential and to be able to make of photography an expression of your creativity and personal taste.
Our teachers will reveal some “tricks and secrets” used by large professional photographers so to let your shots become more interesting and captivating, and will guide you to discover the potential of your cameras.
Our photography courses in Florence offer the right balance between the development of artistic sensitivity and the deepening of photographic techniques. The photography course provides a basic introductory theory in class, during which topics of basic photoshooting and post-production are approached. Therefore the course is held mainly outdoors, so you can learn directly on field, “camera at hand”, the basics of exposure, sensitivity and time, alternating both static and dynamic shots, portraits, artistic photos and studies on light.
Set in Florence, this course can also help you discover the beauty of the city which, during the Renaissance, has made the imagination of Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Leonardo da Vinci, and many others fly. The city of the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio, the city of the Church where Dante Alighieri first met his beloved and unreachable Beatrice. A city where the streets, churches and palaces will bring you back in time and will fascinate you, telling you the story of the powerful and famous Medici family.
Our photography courses in Florence are open to everybody. No special requirements nor enrollment in our Italian courses, are required to participate. The important thing is to have a reflex camera or a compact one (with the possibility to set manual shooting controls)
The program of our photography courses in Florence will allow the student to achieve basic notions on photographic techniques, composition and post-production. Classes will take place largely outdoors, through practical shooting on the field, while just a small time will be spent in the classroom.

Since large part of the lessons takes place directly “on site”, so as to give an opportunity for our students to practice “capturing” the most beautiful and artistic city, this course can also be combined with some lessonof Art History or History of Florence. In this way, participants will be able to totally immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of a city that has many secrets and anecdotes to reveal.
